What this test measures
Twenty-two of the 30 bank items are diagrams. Colour reasoning is the largest category. That is the same aptitude the Farnsworth-Munsell hue test and design-school entrance papers target: can you discriminate hue, value, and visual weight, then apply a rule.

Orange. Complements sit opposite on the wheel. Blue’s opposite is orange, which is why that pair reads as high contrast. Green is a neighbour (analogous), purple is a split, and navy is the same hue at a darker value.
How your score is calculated
Scoring runs on the proportion you answer correctly, put through a quadratic curve so that accuracy at the top of the range is worth more than accuracy at the bottom. The result is mapped onto the familiar scale where 100 is the population midpoint and 15 points is one standard deviation, then reported with a percentile and a per-category breakdown. Questions left unanswered when the timer expires count as incorrect.
Colour and proportion scores usually move together for people with any design training, because both are formal visual systems. Pattern logic is closer to the general IQ matrices. A high colour score with a weak pattern score means you see hue well and extract rules less well.
How to read your result
Scores land in one of seven bands. The population percentages describe the standard distribution these bands are modelled on, not the people who have taken this particular test.

Frequently asked questions
Is this test about my personal style?
No. It does not profile what you like to wear. It scores visual reasoning with fashion as the material: colour, cut, and pattern. For a style rating of an actual outfit, that is a different product.
Do I need to follow fashion to score well?
No. The items are odd-one-out, sequences, and colour contrast. An art or graphics background helps for the same reason it helps on matrix items: you already practise seeing rules in shapes.
Why is a fashion test on an IQ site?
Because colour discrimination and proportion are visual-spatial and fluid-reasoning problems. Industry colour-IQ tools such as the X-Rite hue test work the same way. This bank uses garments and swatches instead of abstract chips so the items still feel like style.
How long does it take?
The limit is 23 minutes for 25 questions. Most of the work is looking, not reading, so it moves at about the same pace as the logical test’s visual items.
